The same stuff I've put on my face for this this shot. I even put the stuff in my hair and afterwards I hated myself for doing that.

Nobody else around who wanted this stuff on his/her face, so it's a selfportrait again.

Thanks a lot everybody for the comments and your votes! I'm very happy with this placing, it's my best so far.

@Hotpasta: Thanks, but I don't feel robbed. 13 Out of 296 is something I'm very happy with.

Congrats on your 13th placing, but you were robbed really. One of three shots I gave 10 to...sorry that the other voters didn't see it like me

Great with appropiate attitude and stare to make it a convincing study. Congratulations on your top 20 study.

Elvi the golden muts. :) I'm going to kick myself if I've got that wrong.
Great shot. The background works very well with the tones on the face and body. Love the intensity of the eyes and the expression. This should ribbon.

Wow. What a disturbing image! The title's perfect for the emotional impact.

I really like the framing and the expression, and how wide open her eyes are.

I also like how you went for using gold to portray something ugly and off-putting instead of the typical pleasant, happy, rich feelings.

A very different take on the "paint your model" theme. I like this. I fear you won't score as well as you deserve because it's not sexy or clever. But it is very emotive and captures my attention. Well done.

Great job! Your portraits shine, no pun intended. Great lighting and composition. The stare is intense and goes well with the "Rough" feel of the photo. One of the few very good painting in gold portraits.

(may be I'm wrong but...) I thought your Yellow II picture would suit here perfectly - and while I like that 'yellow one' more (as it is more mysterious), this one is cool as well - good luck.

Uhhhh - just how did you piss her off so bad?!?!?! Well done - many others attempted this type of shot, but yours does a great job of including EMOTION in the image. Nice work!

You are definately a master of the eyes. Despite the funky art stuff you often have in your photos, I'm always drawn to the eyes. Great photo!

This is such a very strong image, and just what I expected from you, as you really do know how to do the very best, and quite dramatic portraits, and this is no exception..... A winning shot for sure, or at least on the front page..... I really hope you do "ribbon" with this one..... A "10" from me.

a superb picture, albeit a bit scary. the high definition of the eyes are what make it for me, as are other very fantastic details including the precise depth of field, wonderfully complimentary shades of gold, the texture of the hair... great, unnerving, disturbing, mix of being inspiring and bloody annoying because i know i could never be so creative. 10.

Touche'. This certainly is one of the best submissions (and thankfully not titled "midas touch"). Technically this is well executed but to me (to me) somehow the technique and expressions don't seem to create harmony. Anyway, Since this is not about what I "feel" about the photo, I would rate is high on being different and techically well executed. This will surely be in top 5. Goodluck.9.

Arti-Elvi :-O haha, I'm actualy really liking this one! Something about the awkward pose thats just a little unsettling, well, along with the paint job ;-) But yeah, wouldn't touch a thing, other than maybe bring the blue in your eyes out a little bit, just make the overall image pop a little more, you know? Good Luck!
