Thanks for comments and overall pretty good scoring. I think I got away with a mistake here. I'm absolutely certain that I hit "cancel" instead of "ok" during the USM process. So the picture I submitted at 11:50 pm was a little soft. I'm happy with the pic though. Like some of my other first challenges, another great learning experience.

Thanks for the helpful comment Joe. I'll take an in-depth look at the tutorial. re: size, I was trying different combinations of size vs. image quality, saving at 10, 11, 12.

Josh, Thanks for your comment on my on the beach entry, I thought I would return the favor. I think your composition and lighting on this photo are great. My main critique would be about the actual phot size itself, I wisj it was the full 640 max size, yours is 620, and your file size is 82 kb and the max is 150 kb. using the full file size would have helped smooth out the shot so the small details in the pier would be less jaggedy. Here is the link to the preparing images for challenge tutorial using photoshop. Hor this was helpful, thanks again for a comment.

Great job! The sky is very nice in this one. However, a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. And meeting the challenge, to me, is the first and most important thing, if that isn't done, then anything else is unimportant. Doesn't mean it's not a beautiful and creative shot, because in this case, it absolutely is! I do love it! I went back and forth on how to score your pic, but I do vote low for those that I don't think meet the challenge, so to be consistant, I am voting this lower than I want for the reasons stated above.

The subject is interesting but the quality of the photo isn't so good.

Nice comp but it doesn't appear to be in focus.
