Thanks for the comments on this picture. I agree with the fact that the leaves detract from the image. I should have submittied the one with the teapot and single white lily.

What were you going for with the flower and leaves? To my eye, they detract from the subject. Also, the lighting is pretty stark.

Try covering the light with a pillowcase to diffuse it more. That'll bring out the whole surface, instead of having the one bright line and the rest of it pretty dark.

I think it would have been a better image without the flowers and leaves ... .! It simply distracts from the object and it clashes with the composition of the whole image. I also feel the crop is to tide and there is not enough room for the teapot...
