 It was at the end of a long, hot, day and the lifeguards started showing off for the kids. Shot was taken at a public beach on Lake Michigan on the southside of Chicago.

Very good lighting on the subject but the background could be better lit. I don't know how you could do that though.

The subject is in focus, but I would have cropped out the lower left boat or pier.

The lower left corner is a bit distracting. Without it your diver wouldbe even more dramatic.

a lovely image, but it would hve been better if you had cropped out the wharf in the bottom left.

The bottom left corner is a distraction, and there is no idea of height to the dive which would enhance the subject more

Crop out the "thing" in the bottom left by coming in closer to the diver

Is this a self portrait? Great form. Wonderful composition and color, and would you look at that perfectly level horizon! I am sure all of your comments are complaining about the same thing, so I wont say it again...

would have been so great if this was sharp...a tighter crop to eliminate the edge of the pier would have made it look more dramatic, as if he was falling out of the sky...an impressive shot though

Crop it tighter and try to get a bit sharper focus on diver. His feet look good against sky.
