I could not let the "Lines ll" challenge come and go, without entering one of my signature images, of an Agave Plant.
I was just so excited, when I saw the new challange re "On the Beach", as I was one of the members who suggested this in a recent forum.
What should a girl do, decisions, decisions.
Which one do I enter.
Well, you know the answer, as it was definately one of my agave plant images.
I have actually found two new agave plants growing here in the village, at L.M.H.P. where I live.
They are sheltered from the harsh sunlight, and bad weather conditions, so are in perfect condition.
My friendly neighbours, allowed me to photograph them, and this is one of the results.
I have called this one "Painted Lady", as it look like a painting, and not a photograph.
Used my much loved, and treasured "Canon" camera, in the "raw" format.
Settings:
Aperture: 5.6
ISO: 200
TV Shutter Speed: 1.15
Processed in photoshop.

As you know. . .I was one of your 10 10's, and I think this one was very underrated for this challenge! It's an excellent expression of lines!!! And beautifully done.

| Hi Sherryl. Quite the distinctive plant you have there. I wonder how many people are now recoginizing you for this type of image? Kind of takes away from anonymous voting a little. Oh well, ride it out while you can. Certainly is a beautiful subject to photograph and when placed in the right challenge is scoring well for you. |
