I second what BradP said, especially this line as quoted, "Exemplary display of composition and the use of leading lines".

I liked this photo - the way the trees lined up, the water reflections and the boys fishing, all things so well done.

On a DPChallenge note, this photo deserve a much higher score. I guess it's a matter of different tastes.

But still, great photo JJ.

Exemplary display of composition and the use of leading lines.
The only thing wrong here is that it was in such a large challenge and doubt it ever got the time it deserved in the viewing process to be studied.
A timeless classic of the highest quality.

Lovely reflections and a sweet rural scene with a lovely line of trees as well as the lovely sweeping curve of the river. The two anglers are really interesting and of course their rods create lines too. Personally I think they are a little too small or too near to the edge of the image - perhaps they fade into the image because it's in black and white? I think I'd like to see more made of them as they are such a great potential focal point.

My eye is caught quickly by the line of tree's.
I do like the cropping around the fishermen, but they are almost lost to me in the shot.

At first I thought the two lines were the line-of-trees and its reflection. Then I noticed the two fishing-poles and then the two fishermen (-: Nice shot, I think the fishermen could be a positioned bit to the right thought.

fantastic! Love the whole mood of this...looks like Huck Finn...the only suggestion would be that the comp is a little tight where the boys are..perhaps a little more room on the left would have been great 8
