 this shot is my first dpchallenge entry ... i'm still trying to get the creative juices flowing, so i don't think this is a particularly good entry.

i have a colourful umbrella at home and it occured to me that the lines and colours of the umbrella might make for a nice submission.

i put the camera on the floor, placed a soft light behind it and just used the ambient light. there were no shadows to worry about really.

I like the idea. But if the center was in the bottom left, it would feel more like it was the right direction.

The colors are wonderful, and the placement of the hub works well. However, the large border distracts me.

This is a nice take on the challenge theme. Good composition by positioning the hub off-center. COlors are strong. Some noise in the top areas of the image, but nothing overly critical. Good luck.

Simple but elegantly done. Perfect placement of the bit where the thingys meet the thingy...sorry that might have been too technical...great colour too:) 9

The colors you've chosen here leaves me breathless. The image is very DPC friendly and the center is properly placed using the thirds. The only pitfall IMHO is the use of the black border. A bit too much IMHO. (8)
