Camera: Fujifilm FinePix S5600Z
Location: street
Date: Jul 16, 2006
Galleries: Abstract, Digital Art
Date Uploaded: Jul 16, 2006

Just power lines on a pole. The aura effect was created from excessive USM (see attached image below). No spot editing was done.
I'm getting a bit nervous that voters may vote as if this image is done outside the Basic Editing rules - I'll try to get this validated before the voting period starts)

p/s: the title is a tad cheesy with "basic editing" written there, but heck... LOL

Disqualification Details
Spot editing is not permitted in 'Basic Editing.' Please review the challenge submission rules.

"Major Elements" is was not applicable to basic editing. I still don't understand the reason for DQ if USM actually created the effect. Since Basic Editing as of the date of this challenge was "tool based" and USM was legal if applied to the entire image, I don't understand the "spot editing" comment. Was there additional editing that was truly spot editing, or was the miscommunicated USM usage actually all that was wrong? Regardless of whether the DQ stands, was the image actually illegal????

The glow effect is very nice, but the cables are too messy. Perhaps a different selection of cables would work better.

Very nice photo, the shadow is great and the contrast is shown clearly which made the picture beautiful.
