I'm going to be hammered for this I am sure, because it looks like I edited it with a program, when in fact this is straight out of camera (minus crop, resize, curves) I had others, but this one called out to me, and so I use it, and use it with pride, because I love to look at photography more artistically than technically (yes I still follow rules)
It was very overcast, which certainly worked here to give this that painterly feeling while I was panning. I also enjoy his subtle shadow along the water showing just how low he was flying.

| Great attempt at panning but the bird wins. Admittedly it shows speed and energy as is, but the eye always tries to find a sharp point somewhere in an image - this has none. |

| Everything looks a bit blurred? Would be betetr if the subject the bird was sharp and not blurred. |
