Goathland railway station, North Yorkshire, England features in the TV series Heartbeat which is set in the 1960's and has still kept it's timeless charm.
Partial colour wasn't done by spot editing, the whole photograph was converted from colour to sepia in PSP then saturation increased.

because of the sky, I'd have tried this in bw too, just to see if that would have more impact. also the front lamp is a bit distracting!

Why the selective desaturation? I can't understand what it's trying to achieve. Nice composition though, the foreground light works well. 6

Very good subject, very nicely composed, and great focus. The only thing I would change is the fact that the sky seems overly blown out. But still, it's a very nice photo and definately meets the assignment topic.

I like the composition, and the brickwork. The sky is yellow however.

Really good depth of field. Seems a little too tightly cropped at top and bottom. I think this would evoke "train station" more if I could see more of the tracks at bottom. Nice shot!

i personally feel that the light in the foreground is a little distracting
