i didnt meant to enter the challenge but i simply forgot i uploaded it there
the reason i actually didn t want it to be in the challenge is because its not even close to abstract as most commenters agreed with me
on the other hand there are 2 pics in the top 3 who are even less abstract than this kaiserbrotchen |

Very good shot. I really like the play with texture here. One minor nitpick would be the 11 o'clock section of the bread. The edge isn't as neatly burnt out as the rest. |

I really like the color and the background. May be just a bit too literal vice abstract for some. |

You have made me want to bake, in a cave. With the color of the background it allmost looks like a cave painting which is fitting considering baked goods are among our oldest foods. |

at the moment there is nothing abstract about this--had you gotten in closer, perhaps |

a tighter crop (just the center pattern without the outline of the roll) would have made this more of an abstraction and gotten a higher vote from me. 5 |

The more I look at this picture the more I like it. My favorite part is how the pattern in the bread flows with the pattern on the surface. Nice texture. |

abstract: Having an intellectual and affective artistic content that depends solely on intrinsic form rather than on narrative content or pictorial representation |

what do I like? I love the colour and the background, the lighting and textures
what I would love to have seen: a more interesting composition rather than a loaf of beautiful bread smack bang in the middle of the shot...perhaps try some more interesting composition ideas |
