I like to contrast of this shot, and the grainyness it has. The frame fits the overall feel of the shot too. I too could agree about the object at the top of the frame... but hey, if you like it there that's all that's important!

You're on the right track. IMNSHO you should clone out the thingy at the top. It's distracting, and without it, you have a pure diagonal line.
