Great subject and angle/composition. The white background and lighting don't look natural, though. Taken in the studio? Deeper depth of field that includes more of the wings would be an improvement, in my opinion. Specks on the leaf are reasons that I disagree with the "no spot retouching" rule. I think we should be able to eliminate those kind of imperfections. The one on the bottom appears to be a bad pixel. |

Like the design in this shot. Overexposure works with good DOF. |

This one makes me laugh. Bugs can have such interesting expressions. I think I like this one because it so clearly focuses on the subject and the colors are incredibly crisp. |

Good pose. The background is a little too bright and takes away from the blue eyes. |

I like this shot a lot. I know how difficult it is to get large DOF on macro shots, but I think this shot would totally rock if the wings were less blurred. Great job. |

Great composition makes the piece very dynamic and brings the subject alive. Depth of field is really good. Focusing is spot on. Beautiful shot. |

Interesting viewpoint and they're great subjects, but I don't think the bright background's done you any favours - i overpowers the subject. Still a nice shot, though. |

I like it. Great composition, totally unusual for a dragonfly and yet instantly recognizable. Your focus is spot on and the white background helps a lot. One of my favorites of this challenge, there's nothing I'd change :) |

I miss the venations on the wings. perhaps using backlight that's significantly less-harsh would do the trick. |
