I voted this a 3 and I make a habit out of explaining why when I vote so low. Image quality is the main factor here, the CA (purple fringing) and softness in this photo+blown highlights are the main reason why I voted so low. Also I am not a fan of abstract shots and generally dislike them, so that may also be a reason. And yes, I am not voting in abstract food, I would never do that to myself :P

Don't know what that is, and it's blurry and dark, so I don't get either a sense of being drawn into the distance. Neither do I get "a different angle" on something.

As much as I appreciate the effort at being creative and abstract, this picture is dizzying. Part of the fabric (or whatever this is) is blown out on the right side and the colors are a bit flat. Also, with regards to DOF--there doesn't seem to be much in focus to contrast with OOF in a shallow DOF.

Subject isn't the most interesting and I'd crop the background off the top.
