Location: Off the Norwegian coast, about 64°20' North.
Date: Jul 5, 2006
Aperture: f8
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/320

 Shot just south of the Arctic Circle.
In Nikon Capture: Auto curves, color booster. Advanced RAW (sharpening to normal, contrast low, color mode unchanged, saturation enhanced).
In Photoshop: Brigthness/contrast a tiny bit, curves too. Selective colorlayer: a little bit on the blues and the whites.
Went from 16 bits to 8, USM, some cropping and saved for web.

I am surprised this one did not score higher...?? Beautifully done (you should maby have stretched your legs and put your toes in the picture FOR THE "obvious" - 10 LOL :o)... Really, this is a BEAUTIFUL picture.

wonderful palette, but where on earth is there a 11pm sunset--i know it exists, but where? I'm guessing the polar regions. The colors are brilliant.
