 I was trying to take a minimalist approach to capturing fireworks tonight, with only one or two bursts captured most of the time. I remember capturing this one at the time, starting the capture as one burst was ending (the butterfly) and as another was going up. I had no idea the first burst would look like a butterfly, but it was one of those "split" bursts and I at least thought it would be an interesting capture.

Editing included cropping and removing an errant puff of smoke from a nearby firework that wasn't part of the city's program.
