Nice photo; I like the contrast between the brooding overcast sky and the lighter, almost serene grass and stationary fenceposts. The clouds are great. Position of the posts in frame is good, and nice the way the image sweeps away to the left, drawing the eye into the background there. |

Congrats on a top 50 finish. I like the dark clouds behind the posts and the colors in this image. I am not crazy about the composition because the posts appear to be cutting or blocking two significant trees. If it was possible to change position and have the posts line up between the trees or on the outer edge, I think I would have liked it better. I would have voted this a 7 as it is. |

Trading post - The posts surely arent moving now - but who knows when that storm comes through. Easily met the challenge and the contrast between the posts andthe sky is nice. But my eyes are really drawn to the clouds. They are the focal point for me - and they are cool. Would be nice to see another version of this with a nice blue sky with poofy clouds. Good focus and detasil through out and the lighting onthe foregournd is really quite good considering the sky in the background. Top 50 out of almost 300 is great. Good work Deb. |

Trading post...
An under rated shot! I gave this an 8 in voting. I liked the starkness of the posts against the dramatic sky. I really loved the small red/orange flowers at the bottom of the posts amongst the dead/dying grass. Great find! |

We won't see clouds like that until October (South Africa's winter right now). Sigh. I miss them. |

It looks like this every afternoon this time of year where I live. I love the low angle you took this from. |

The sky is definitely the strength of this picture. I would have liked to see more sky at the top and less patchy grass at the bottom which would have also brought your subject closer to the viewer. |

WOW! What can you say! This is a PERFECT photo! I would say that sky looks Icelandic, but that doesn't look like Iceland terrain :) Awesome photo! 10 |
