Seeing dead animals on the side of the road always makes me sad. I drove by this porcupine and then doubled back. I am not sure whether I feel ok about entering this shot..if it stops people and maybe makes them drive a bit more carefully then great. I realize that there isn't much we can do...it is not right though.
I hope to catch the death of the animal, contrasting with the life of a person..I got shots with trucks and cars (the instruments of death) in the background. Somehow this one with the bicycle spoke got to me more...
Curves, LAB curves, smart sharpen, added border, save for web.

Roadkill usually scores low.. (see my portfolio :P)
I tend to "like" it however

You've composed this shot nicely to avoid being overly graphic with it, while saying exactly what needed to be said. The cyclist is a really nice touch.

Although roadkill would not be my first choice for this challenge - somehow your pic is oddly pleasing. I think because the animal is not shot in a gorey way and the eye tends to go to the bike. I think waiting a split second to capture the bike so that he was independednt of the kill would have enhanced this shot.

Well done for the choosen subject. I would have liked to have seen the bike rider fully past the main subject. 6

As a member of PETA I couldn't give this a 10 but as it's only a porcupine a 9 will suffice...

The perspective and the inclusion of the passing cyclist make this image. Nice job.
