 I was very excited when this idea for "stationery" hit me, because I thought it was a good concept that I actually had a chance of pulling off. Shot in my family room, using a tripod. Burned three different envelopes, and the red one came out best. Post processing was very simple:

crop
Neat Image (there was a lot of noise on the envelope itself)
re-size to 640 pixels
USM
Save for DPC at < 150 kb

Ouch! How sad for whomever sent their love... I guess. The photo is somewhat ambiguous as related to the subject, but there is a relationship. The photo conveys the flames well, although the composition could be slightly improved, enlarging the "stationery".

If the note was in better focus it would help the composition considerably. I think the cropping at the top is a little tight as well when compared to the negative space at the bottom.

Would have preferred if the middle fire wasn't cropped, but I'd say that it's a very good concept.
