 I took this photo while on a family outing at lunchtime. I was lying on the grass in a field and just started taking pictures of everything around me. There was no set-up time. The aperture listed may not be 100% accurate because this aperture is automated in the setting I was using that day. I was also using the EFS 18-55 lens that comes with the digital camera.

You did a very nice job of capturing this image without blowing out the details in the flower pedals. However, the busy background tends to hide those details, as the flower sort of blends in and fails to hold my attention for an length of time. I can't think of any way to improve this image because the background is what it is.

I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking at.
You need to direct my attention to something.
Something specific which tells me that you've thought about the shot you ended up taking.
And then taken the trouble to take it.
Like lying down in the grass, choosing one flower, and then silhouetting it against the blue sky, maybe even with the sun shining closely behind it.
Your caption says "lying in grass"
What is it that is lying in the grass?
I can't see it.
