 This is a bird nest that was blown out of the trees into my yard during a pretty windy storm. I just put it back into a tree for these shots.

8 - Like this, especially the simplicity. Perhaps just 'up' a fraction more, but depends what was 'below'. Very good 'straight from the camera' shot.

bird's nests are always interesting to find ;) I've always found empty ones and wondered where the birds went. think you captured that very well here, and i especially like the DOF.
