 This is actually the first picture of food I've taken. I was making dinner, and really enjoyed the way it looked. No attempt was made to "spruce" up the food up at all, that is still in the skillet very shortly after I took the heat off.

In this challenge, I looked for good composition of a good subject. While this has very good color and DOF, the composition is somewhat lacking (ie no "in context") and the subject isn't particularly appealing to me.

Being a vegetarian I find the hunk of meat thoroughly revolting, but i'm sure i'm in the minority here. I would imagine most people find this to be very appetizing! My prejudices aside, this is well done. Lovely colors.

I'm not sure if this was the best choice of subject for a challenge like this. I'm sure this is a delicious dish but this close-up shot doesn't make for a particularly appealing photo.
