I gave this a 5. I know how difficult it is to photograph crepe myrtles - a tripod is likely the only way unless you get very good lighting as well. The color seems true to me and not oversaturated, although the line is very thin on in-camera color reproduction. The tips given by Dr Achoo are very helpful there. Again, difficult to photograph the color with these flowers. If this were sharper and a variation in composition to give more overall balance and allow for a better 'study' of this beautiful flower, make this even better in my opinion.edit:typo

Check your in-camera settings. Although this is straight out of the camera I find that reds (and pinks) saturate very, very quickly on the Canon sensor. If you shoot JPG and have the saturation boosted at all in camera it is even more of a problem. I lost a whole day of shooting tulips in April because of it.

Your composition is nicely done with the off-centered subject and the virtual leading line of the flowers.

Now the reality is (and you know this as well as I do) that an unprocessed picture is not going to be able to stand up to a processed one. Especially in a constricting challenge where all the shots are of one subject.
