Challenge: Straight from the Camera (Advanced Editing IV*)
Camera: Nikon D70
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED
Location: Duh!
Date: Jul 2, 2006
Aperture: f/3.5
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/2
Galleries: Cityscape, Architecture
Date Uploaded: Jul 1, 2006

Forgot to take it off RAW the 1st night so went back the 2nd night. While fumbling with settings I accidentally changed the WB to 'incandescent + 3' & didn't see the results until I got back.

I like it so here it is.

As stated below I am extremely grateful to those who voted this image so highly. One very small point on those that thought the horizon tilted - if you know the area then you will know that the point in the picture with the souther pylon is located on land that juts out into the harbour and unfortunately may give the impression that the image is not straight as the shoreline either side appears to drop away.

I can't believe the gradation in blue colors; its all teh way from neon blue glass to powdery blue birthday balloon. Absolutely perfect contrast to the golden bridge focal point; can't you warp the image to straighten the horizon? would make a great print. Nice work.

WOW a PB!! It hurts a little knowing that it came from 2 'accidents', but now I've raised the bar for myself I will try & keep up the standard. Thanks to all the voters and thanks to DPC for helping keep the passion in my photography.

Post processing? Who needs post processing?

okay, maybe just a little horizon tilt and some sharpening, but the color and lighting are exquisite.

"WOW" factor here, re this stunning night time shot, of one of my most favorite cities, Sydney Australia.....
I am a true "Aussie" in every sense, and can't go passed this one re the impact it gives me.....
If this is straight from the camera, what in the world would it look like if processed.....
I love it, and have no hesitation in giving this image a "10", which it deserves.....
