This is the first time i've tried to shoot lightning. I was pretty pleased with how these turned out!

You should be pleased how this turned out! Other than it being a bit on the dark side, it's clean crisp and it actually has lightning in it which is important for lightning pictures.
My only critique would be that perhaps the right side could be cropped a little bit more as the empty space competes with the focus of the picture (the lightning). Maybe in as far as the next fencepost.

This is beautiful! I realy like the purplish color, too.

My only suggestion is to crop it tighter on the right (e.g., just to the right of the top of the main stroke). I think that'll really emphasize the vertical main stroke and focus attention on it by dropping some empty space.

That is, emphasize the vertical the same way this shot emphasizes the horizontal speed:
