 Non-traditional image of echinacea...the black and white conversion was achieved through the use of the gradient mapping feature of Photoshop. I like this image a lot...the b/w treatment strips away the unnecessary color and distraction from the heart of the matter.

Not sure I like the black and white treatment. Maybe a bit more contrast and highlight would have added to the overall feel.

Nice composition with the flower mimicked by the background. Would have also been good for bokeh!
