interesting texture - for a slug. depth of field works nicely in back |

The subject matter in this photograph does not appeal to me, but it fits the idea of texture very well. Technically, the main subject is sharp and the background is nicely out of focus. The exposure is also correct. One thing that hurts the quality, however, is the JPEG compression artifacts. The picture is only 44K in file size and the rules allow up to 150K. Saving this picture at a higher JPEG quality level would have improved the detail. *5* -balynch |

I would have liked the light to come more on the side, why don't you have turned him to get a better exposure ? Hmm... Well, forget it :) Nice macro shot, nice DOF, congratulations. |

Le escargot! Excellent display of texture both before and after cooking (chewy with a gristle texture). Good composition, color and DOF. -7 |

Comments on this photo should be taken with a pinch of salt, which is just how I like my slugs. Very well done. |

hey, two textures in one shot. good deal. I like the dark slug thing against the light rock background. you might try composing it differently, though. maybe shoot at his antennae head on or something to give the shot more of a point of interest. |

ok that's great texture. My only change would be to crop some off the top |

It's all texture, all right :) Personally would have cropped it out at the top just beforewhere the ground gets dark. |
