I think a closer shot would have been better.

I like the concept, but there are many ways to improve this photo. A closer shot of the bulb for example.

Interesting idea, but I think a tighter shot of the bulb would have worked better for me. There's too much background and not enough of the subject for my taste.

The lightbulb is very hard to pick out in the shot. Perhaps you could try moving in closer to the subject and not have so much foreground showing.

Cute idea but I think the excessive sunglight hurts the picture

Well, interesting take on the challenge. Overall image needs some exposure compensation, and you might have wanted to show more of the lightbulb.

the bulb is almost too small to discover it ;) but I like the idea of this. zoom in or get closer to the bulb. maybe worth a re-shoot?

This doesn't really work for me. The harsh lighting on the right pulls the eye away from the "object" of your picture, which I take to be the lightbulb. The bulb itself is rather small compared to the rest of the picture and looks like it was just "stuck there", rather than "growing". The idea might work better if you were to put it in among the hostas and taken the picture so that the bulb was a more significant part of the frame. It is a good idea, though!

The light bulb is too small and is lost in the rest of the rather uninteresting garden.

It's a picture of a bloomin' lightbulb in the garden - which I think is different. Placement is a bit awkward with the lamp being right at the edge of the hostas. Static central placement, blown highlights on the right, and uninteresting foreground hurt the photo. So does small subject size. Still, it's funny: thanks for the effort.

Intestesting idea, but you need to be in closer with better focus. The blown highlights in the sunny areas are distracting as well.

Too distant, too much else going on to distract from the bulb

The lighting on the right is a little harsh. Your subject is dwarfed by the setting.

Bizarre, which is good, but perhaps you might have further cultivated this idea (planting rows of bulbs might be interesting, for example). Also, consider getting closer to your subject.

Lol! Very creative, I would suggest you get in closer next time and try to find a better composition/viewpoint, this seems poorly thought out and very "snapshot-ishly" composed.

Get closer. Hot on the right

it so hard to see. i mean i see it. its definately there but it doesnt seem to be the subject. more of an afterthought.

I'm not trying to be mean, honestly, but I really don't think you put any effort into this at all - creativity, composition or (most importantly) technical. Sorry... :(

it would be nice to get in closer

I think I would have liked this better if it'd been cropped a tighter.

Nice idea, but the bulb's a little lost in this huge expanse. Coming in much closer would give it more prominence, and fix the exposure problems from having so much bright sunlight in the frame.
