Thanks all for the comments. Yeah, I notice too the dust specks and the scratches on the lens barrels ... but it's the cleanest I could get away with, using a cellotape to remove the dusts :) Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about the scratches on the lens barrels though.

Very nearly spot-on. The composition, the framing, the angle, the depth of field (just narrow enough), the white-point (bleaching out whatever is above the lens barrels) - all great. The three lense barrels lead the eye nicely down to the specimen on the slide - inspired.

I wonder, though, if the lense barrels could've been cleaned up a bit for the shot. And some of the specs of dust cleaned away from around the slide.

Picky, picky, picky...

Love the angle and tight crop. I think this would be a pretty good stock photo. Bumping up!

I like your idea, but not too fond about the execution. the whites at the top are all blown out and the compo is a bit busy.

This could be a good stock photo shot (for what little I know about stock photo shots) if you clean up the base of the microscope a bit. Whatever is blobbed on the slide could be redder to match the reflections.
