I tried my luck to find a four-leaf clover but was unlucky. I even tried to "make" one but the leaves of this plant wither easily.

finally, i decided on just placing a piece of jewelry to my photo. Alas! i found a heart-shaped diamond in my wife's box. hehe. a better find for the shoot.

This is beautifully captured.
To many would allow the focus to be on the shamrocks as well as the stone.
You've positioned it nicely to pick up a bit of the green reflection, also allowing the sky blue to be picked up as well, and wonderful soft lighting.
I love the composition and framing you did as well.

Ooo pretty like the nice strong focus on the ring and the green and gold sets it off

Very well shot. Great clarity and sharpness on the subject.

I like the clarity of the gem, but the clovers and the band of the ring seem to be a bit dark. I like the way you used the DOF to bring focus to the main subject of the shot though.

Great! I'd love to see it win!

couldn't find any 4-leafers, eh? You managed to catch some nice refraction in the diamond.

interesting idea. i think this may have been better if it were all in focus or at least some of the clovers in focus. nice composition though.

So are you saying it is a myth that a diamond is a better find? Anyway, the diamond is a bit glary, but the only way to have less glare would be to underexpose. Hard to light this one. Nice dof to frame the diamond.

Nice idea, but I am wondering what if the clovers where in focus and the bright shiny object was blurred. Might give a totally differnt feel.
