This picture looks great on my Dell M70 laptop. The LCD on this laptop has great color reproduction which really shines with this picture.

| This is so beautiful and makes an excellent photo for several reasons. First, the shallow DOF and the subtle gradations from green to blue provide a simple yet elegant abstrant background. Second, the composition and POV underneath the flower provide a new, interesting approach. And third, the radiance and glowing quality of the warm colors up front contrasted with the cool colors in back. Truly a gem in your portfolio. I had high hopes for you in this challenge and you proved them right. Congrats! |

| What a stunning image you have made here. I didnt get to vote on it, but I can assure you it would have given you another 10. The colors the DOF and the angle make this shot worthy of the ribbon. I dont think I would change a thing, of course that would mean I could make the shot look like you did(highly unlikely). Very well done and congrats on yet another Ribbon. |

Sorry about not listing the details, I thought I had, but I guess I forgot once again.
Image made indoors, by a bright window in the afternoon. Used my trusty macro lens.
The image was shot RAW, most processing done in Nikon Capture Editor (adjusted exposure, curves, saturation). Saved as TIFF.
Opened in PSP9, cloned out a couple imperfections, adjusted colours a bit more, resized, noise reduction, sharpened, saved as JPG.

| 8 - Fairly certain, given the very shallow dof and color choices/combinations, whose image this is. A unique and recognizable style. Nice choice of colors/color combination. Like the crop and composition. Undecided on the seemingly 'smooth' stem, but I assume it is deliberate and this looks exactly as you intend. The tiny black 'speck' on the top of the stem is slightly distracting, given the 'macroness' of the shot, perhaps a clone out, but could be left in intentionally/natural. Like the lines visible in the focussed petal. The yellow oof bottom left at rear perhaps dominates a fraction too much, but very minor and again, is likely intended. |
