A copy of the type of glass floats used by the Japanese for their fishing nets. I would have loved to have had an actual one but didn't.

Opened NEF in PSCS2, applied unsharp mask, cropped, resized, saved for web, Adjusted Selective color, adjusted levels.

Nice framing and use of colour. But these glass balls are always annoyingly scruffy for this kind of shot, don't you find?

i like the side lighting, but maybe wish there ere some more up front, at the twine there seems a little flat in contrast. although, i can imagine it might be hard to get lighting there, as that's where the camera is ;)

I really like the blue in this Might have made it just a bit more interesting to place it against a yellow or orange background, just for pop...it is beautiful anyway!

Great crisp detail in the rope with lots of interesting texture. The composition is very good also, but the bright background is borderline on being too destrating.

Like the composition think the rope takes away from the suject. if not for the suject its a great photo.

theres another challenge entry very similar to this. that one looked pretty dirty though. i wonder if these could be the same subject. this looks much better. 9

this is a beautiful image, it has a wonderful crisp clear focus, and it is in good lighting, i really love the closeup, would like to see a bit more creativity though with this.
that is just me and it is an individual comment, not meant to offend. you still did a lovely job on this one.
