There is no way I am going t enter a flowers challenge!
and here I am...
I am not even going to pretend this has much of a chance of even doing anything in this challenge... am doing it as a tribute to Sher and RKT for making me think flowers can be cool...and so that this tribute isn't taken as an insult, I do want to make it clear that I don't think this is even half as good as their stuff...
I think people will be bothered by the background-I like the effect, for me it creates tension, the flower is more or less imprisoned...yah I know whatever...this is a flower in my garden, nothing more...
calculations, curves, cont +, dodge and burn, crop, smart sharp, save for web. Stared at it, and thought to add something..went quadtone. |

well, i think it's absolutely beautiful! there aren't many things i like more than flowers photographed in this way. it has such a sad and fragile mood even more enhanced by the drops of rain. this should have finished much, much higher!

...truly one of my favorite images of the challenge...
...there is such a quiet sense of despair, to heavy to hold itself up.

| this has a very nice, sort of vintage feeling to it. maybe even a little sad how it's hanging there like that. always interesting to have a flower shot evoke emotions ;) |
