 i waited for hours at glacier point for these beautiful sunsets and it only lasted a few minutes... i was able to take 5 shots and this one was the best one... you can still see the snow pack on top of half dome and the nearby mountain ranges... it was cold and windy but it was well worth the wait...

What can I say, your whole Yosemite series is just magnificent! Your B&W and Color shots are pure and moving. There are a couple that I think even Ansel himself would vote a 10 :-).

This is beautiful! I love the contrast created by the strong blues and purples in the sky with the muted tones in the foreground. Very powerful composition as well.

I'd give it a top mark for being desolate - but that challenge is over, right. You took a few sherpas up their to carry your large format box camera, did you? Or is it a case that there is a parking lot, Macdonalds, and a road to the viewer's back? ;-)
