---Greetings from the Critique Club!---
First impression - Color correction badly needed.
The yellow cast distracts from the image. It looks like the white balance was set for daylight (5500) and the shot was taken with tungsten lighting (3200). However it was shot this could have been corrected in post processing.
Composition - the bowl on the right doesn't bother me as much as some of the commenters. I think the composition would be improved if the hands and knife and cucumber were moved down in the frame. This would give more of a sense of a downward movement. (IMO, of course)
The concept here is very creative. A little more attention to the composition and the color balance would have garnered a higher score.

There's a great sense of the speed of the knife in this photo. It could've been cropped a little more tightly, I think; I'm not sure that the bowl on the right really adds anything.
I've got one of those chopping boards - they're almost impossible to clean properly once they've got a few knife marks in them, eh? |

| Careful not to cut yourself! The white balance is a little off, try a tungsten setting if your camera has one. |

| well, you do get the prize for most dramatic title this week! you have complied with the challenge, so no problems there. It oculd do with some improvement in the white balance department; it has this light brown sheen over it which gives a false impression of colours - something which can easily be fixed post processing. a lot of the bottom half of the picture is a bit unnecessary; having the principal subject in the top half rarely looks right i found, and by cropping say 5-10mm below the bottom edge of the cucumber might give a more balanced composition. 4. |

| Different and better for being so. I have seen some cooks cut cukes razor thin with a very fast chopping motion. You captured the speed in this one. |

| The pot on the right is rather distracting. I think it is a good attempt at being original, but the lighting has failed you, as well as the tungsten color cast. |
