I would like to see more blurring of the background, which does nothing to enhance the scene.

wow you manage to capture his whole body, but it just seems like there is more blur than motion. nontheless, still good.

I just can't figure this out. Maybe you can help and I'll change this post. The guy on the board is so sharp which is great, but the water is too, as whitnessed by the droplets in the air. I could be wrong. The background looks like the blur came from DOF in a long lens. So my point is there really isn't any "motion blur" in this image, so how do I rate it?
If I rated it just as an image, it would be around a 5. It doesn't have any pop to me. If it was cropped with just the two sail boarders it would be much higher like an 8. I know you were trying to crop it with the trails of the two boards but I don't think you needed that to convey the motion. Really good sharp shot of the guy in front too, I know that was not a mistake but a really great shot.

I am serious if anything I wrote was not appreciated I will remove it before the end of the voting. I only commented because I know how hard you worked on this and wanted just to chime in with some constructive ideas. Be well.

Good work...the focus is spot on for this.

Hard for me to tell this is motion blur. Perhaps background is just too far away to show much movement. Surfer's are shart though.

a little distracting in the backround but surely meeds the competition. I think a tighter crop would have lended itself to this photo.

Excellent focus and everything else. I don't know if you win a ribbon with this one but if you'd slow the shutter down a bit more and get little more blur with same focusing, it could get you a ribbon in definetly :) in my opinion of course ;) 9
