Composition is great. I wish the lighting was not so extreme. The tool is dark so it blends in too well with the plant. If the light was dimmer and you were able to bring out the contrast of the plant I think you would have a really nice image.
This is such a nice image. Great idea. Love the dirt lying on the flat surface. |

I like the composition, but the current lighting and background make the tool, soil and even the plant seem a bit too dark.
I would have voted higher if the lighting in front was stronger than the back or overhead lighting (or maybe a black background with a spotlight?). |

| very cool idea and shot. nice. I don't like the shadows in the front so much...light from the front with the shadows in the back would look cool IMO. |

| I like this one, nice and simple. Most of the tools entries are quite lifeless, and I like the way you show here that tools can be used to create and nurture life. Great background, apart from the dirt near the bottom of the frame (the specks, not the pile). The photo in general could do with a lot more sharpening. 8 |

I love this! It's such a pleasing shot with a soft focus and subtle color. Not the best representation of "tools" to my way of thinking but I'd love to have it hanging on my wall

| i like your idea here, would be nice if the light hit upon the objects in the shovel to bring out the colors and textures instead of being in the shadow. |
