Thank you all for the nice comments during the challenge. It helped to keep my spirit up, I had better expectations for this picture than what eventually came out.
By the way: my steth is not dirty, the reinforcement of the fork structure is shining through (due to the lighting direction that was required to see the hologram).

Finally, an entry that's 'more' than a depiction of a tool! The eye is even placed where it ought to be placed, given the 'facial' composition. I have no doubt that this photo has much to endure beyond the confines of this challenge.
It seems the outlines (along tube and in the bends near the ear pieces) seems to suffer a little (from oversharpening?)
Despite of this, the image is a refreshing take on what could have easily been a 'threshed' topic and a 'sterile' subject. Hilarious, creative and my choice for Blue Ribbon! |

Interesting concept. The photo could be touched up to reduce the bluish-green tint on the white background. |

Clever! Cleaning the stethoscope at the fork junction would improve the picture a lot - it looks a bit smudged. |

The edges show signs of over sharpening - How did you get that eye in the steth bell? |
