For long image exposures set the long exposure noise reduction. It takes a second exposure of the back of the shutter and subtracts the artifacts from the original exposure. as for noise, bah look at a iso 1600 piece of film :-P |

Third highest score Steph ;) Sweet! Now set your ISO manually and start shooting RAW :) Great shot nonetheless :)

Too much noise detracts from this shot, in my opinion. |

This shot can be improved by cleaning up the noise in the sky. |

Nice scene. I wish the foreground and background lighting levels were a little more balanced, as I find the background more interesting. Especially that mountain on the far left. That square thing lying in the foreground center seems out of place. |

Beautiful landscape. Wish I could see more of the mountain in the background. |

I like the detail in the foreground of this image. There seems to be alot of noise in the sky (which i can only assume is a function of the long exposure time). Nice composition otherwise. |

Pretty cool shot, too bad they don´t make flashlights powerful enough to light up that dark mountain in the backround, now THAT would have been a ribbon shot :) |

Nice composition. . . The foreground light kind of takes away the mystery and power of the mountains for me. |

The central mass seems a bit dark to me (will look at it on another monitor later), and there's some book or something in the foreground which is bothersome. The sky is nice.
A different monitor - yes, there is a little more detail, but not much. ;-) |

Excellent...really like the highlights on the near by features against the deep night time sky. |

Something I learned from this challenge was to use Neat Image first to prevent excessive noise in the sharpened results...
I really like the colors here and the composition is nice too... It looks like you lit it with headlights form a car... am I right? |
