Challenge: Motion Blur II (Advanced Editing IV*)
Camera: Nikon D50
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 ED
Location: Garage
Date: Jun 20, 2006
Aperture: 6.3
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/4
Galleries: Sports, Action
Date Uploaded: Jun 20, 2006

Shot with a remote control that you can actually see underneath ring finger. I would push my hand down as I was breaking and set off the shutter. Used healing brush to get rid of nics in the felt and burned the background in the top left, and cloned the tv reflection off the top left piece of wood. Crop, Hue/saturation selective color, contrast/masking, USM resize NI, Save for Web.

Congrats on your top 10 finish. Great motion blur in this one - love all the directions the balls are going.

Nice job! One of the better shots of this concept. Good centering, perhaps a smidge too yellow.

A nice idea, a bit overdone. Maybe a slightly faster exposure would have worked better - still enough blur to create the sense of a fast break, without it being all blur and no substance.

Best of the pool table shots I've seen thus far. Nice action with the balls, yet the shooters hand and arm are relatively stopped. I know the green is probably represented as is, but I would have tried to darken it just a bit if possible to make it a little richer. Just a thought. ;^) Good luck in the challenge.

Nice focus on this and the effect is dramatic.
