Challenge: Bokeh II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon EOS-10D
Lens: Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro
Location: Te Aro, Wellington
Date: Jun 20, 2006
Aperture: f8
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/100th of a second
Galleries: Urban, Floral
Date Uploaded: Jun 20, 2006

Set in a parking place at the back of my flat. Lit with a fill flash from left, taken on a tripod.

The 100mm canon renders wonderful bokeh, I wonder if I\'ll score nicely with that one.

PP is just one levels layer to set the black and white points.

Shot in RAW and exposure tweaked just a bit in Camera RAW.

I like the minimalism. No clutter here...

Clever - isn't it interesting how some things are so recognisable even when so much of the detail is not visible?

shouldn't the barbwire at least be in focus here?

This is great...the colours...the composition.

If you want the title to be barbed, then the barb needs to be in focus. If you are trying to say that the leaf is pointed (and therefore barbed), it isn't "pointy" enough for me.

I would have liked to see more of the in focus leaves in the frame

Sorry, this is very hard to see what you are looking at.....

This had been a cliche is the wire was in focus... but keeping it as bokeh adds new punch to it. Hope this does well for you.9.
