this shot is wayyy too small. you should try to use the full size available. also, the 30 second shutter speed doesn't add anything to this shot.

You should consider using the full 640 pixels you get on the longest side.

What am I looking at here? It just looks like a mishmash of historical memoribilia with no obvious relationship or organisation, and some very odd shapes (the dark curve in the top left corner, the empty area in the top right) - I don't get any sense of "story" here, let alone who Malcome Reynolds might be. The small size of the image doesn't help either.

There are a number of threads available in the forums that will help you in sizing and saving images for entry. This is too small to really be appreciated.

Good still life but too small to really appreciate. I did this until I read the suggestions for submission.

This has the potential to be a really nice image, but since you did not use the full 640 pixels allowed, it is hard to make out a lot of the detail. There is a tutorial about resizing for dpc, please read it and don't give up.

This is 250 x 166. Why so small? Next time please make it bigger (640 on longest side) so I can see the details.
