This seems more isolation than desolation to me, perhaps because the lighting is so gorgeous.

A wonderful choice for this challenge, fits it very well, it is lonely and desolate there, cold and exposure to the elements in winter cannot be fun! nice job on this, it is colorful, well framed and focused.

This is really unique. I really like the colors. I would suggest cropping out the bottom so you only see the gold color on the water.

Fantastic gold and blue tones, you definately caught this at the prime of the sunrise. Outstanding composition also. Very nice!

what an amazing place, I would have desaturated the yellows abit ast the shadows on the mountain seem alittle too harsh, but you still did an excellent job getting tone in the entire image.
