Interesting idea but I wonder if it might have been better if you could have illumated it and then adjusted the position of the light and the camera so there was some reflection off the glass giving a more pronounced border - you might also have got a bigger lift off the bloom colours

I think this is an interesting approach to framing. But perhpas the reaining glass should be darker in order to lead attention to the flowers in the middle of the image. Nice colors.
