 I wanted to capture one of the most overlooked tools we have at our fingertips many times in a given day.

No one can deny the pen as their primary or alternative means of memory juggling, emotion spout, communication equipment, or just a stress clicker.

I wanted to capture the cast of light that a desk lamp typically gives off when someone sits down to jot down information on their pad.

I also wanted a very close-up of the pen itself, so I chose to do a macro of it. I also chose to do it in black and white as it gave it more of a late night note with the desk lamp light.

I hope you enjoy my first submission.

cool pic. I might have liked to see the shadow going the other direction...but that's just me. focus is good.
