I got a catalogue from Pier One and that had a pitcher and glass stirrer set for $15.00 USD. My friend Bev and I were battery hunting and went to a shopping mall to a Best Buy. No Batteries for her phone nor for my Nikon. But next door was a Pier One. So I went in, saw some glass ware on sale and chose some items but did not see the Stirrer/Pitcher set. So I asked. They found them and I got one and it was on sale at 50% off....should have gotten two, but I don't know what I would do with the pitchers...oh yeah vases...for those things I always seem to be shooting.

Anyhow, I made a back ground fill in PS ELements 3.0 of 12 different hues of green and repeated it. Then I made a design using the shear filter. In shooting, I found there was some gold that was not working for me and the green blue I chose was too blue. So I used color replace to make them green.
I displayed final version of the background fill on my computer monitor and placed the stirrer in, of all things, vase. The angle work and shot head on. I though the refraction works well against the design to give sort of an illusion of the colors being stirred.

Cool! (My best friend's parents had curtains in their vacation house just like this in the 60s except black and white! LOL) Love the effect!

Cool, a lot like the red and blue ones I've seen in past challenges. Still good though.

My first though is that the thumbnail really "pops", but it seems a little to busy when it is the full size image...

Simple but very effective. A little more contrast between the front piece and the background could be used imo, but I like the composition.
