 Taken 5 minutes before a super thunder and lightning storm rolled in. My wife and I proceeded to hide in this life guard shack hoping it would blow over as quickly as it came in.

Unfortunately for us, we were the highest point on the beach and were quickly overwhelmed by the sheeting rain and lightning that was all over the place.

With camera wrapped in a poncho we made a break for the car, which took us 5 minutes to get to. We should have just gone swimming, we were so wet.

Side note: camera came thru fine ;-)

does that mean that it is winter or just a stormy day with no visitors? either way, it is an interesting picture. might leave a bit more room on the left. i also think it would work in color. focus is also a tad soft. 6

A very summer scene, and very cool. Was the look of an older photo deliberate? It's really nice. I do wish there'd been a slightly crisper focus, probably on the lifeguard stand, though - I'm not sure if it's so soft/blurred because of focus or because of the sky behind it.

The horisont is too much in the middle. Maybe more clouds or more sand to the picture.

I like the different textures of the clouds, sky, sea, and sand. The hard lines of the lifeguard stand make a nice contrast; I wish it were in better focus though.

This lokks great in b&w! It also would have been a good entry for the desolation challenge. Great shot, good contrast.
