This photo looks grainy (like a polaroid or snapshoot). The starburst appears to be super imposed; and the contrast could be improved by using levels to make the darkest areas of the image darker. That would bring out more details in the fathers face and maybe help the image seem crisper. The DVD rack in the background distracts from the father and his baby. |

You'll probably get a DQ for this. But even if not, I don't see how the effect filter would add to the image. Why not just use a tighter crop and/or a more interesting background? |

I don't see what is unexpected about this photo. I suspect the filter you used is not legal in basic editing anyway and that this photo will be disqualified. I think the filter takes away from the photo. |

Normally a border like this wouldn't be good, but I think it works for this photo. |

hmmm.....why the dvds behind him? They are very offputting and ruin the "fatherly" moment for me. I don't really like the star effect edge much either. I do like the portrait of father and baby in the midst of it all though - a very gentle expression on his face and in his hand - it's a shame this isn't all there is to see in the picture as it would have scored much higher |

A father's love is an unexpected find? Gosh, I hope not! |

Absolutely gorgeous! How did you do this special effect? |

Sorry, I don't get the added effect, it seems this fabulous moment in a father's life does not need tye-dye post processing added. Love the baby hair though. |

I'd like to know how you managed to do this and still respect the rules of basic editing. |

Wish you had gotten the DVDs out of the background. I'm not sure what's unexpected here...
I hope this was done within Basic Editing rules. |

Don´t really like the effect you put on the shot, it´s not aesthetically pleasing to me, if you had to do something to draw the eye intowards the center of the image I would suggest adding vignetting instead, not in basic editing though as that would be illegal. 3 from me. |
