 Reshoot of my decision entry. Man I should get extra points for waiting for the yellow light 19 times but I finally got this with a tripod to eliminate the focus issues and added some touches to make up for the fact that the challenge theme probably increased the score of my original. I took the suggestion to use the rule of thirds in my crop. Seperated the yellow light, inversed selection to desaturate the rest so I could leave the yellow of the light, and adjusted levels, brightness, contrast and USM and did some selective sharpening. Probably will get the same score as the original but I reshot this for my own personal satisfaction!

Not sure if the desat works for this. Higher contrast might improve the shot. Background sky is a bit boring.

I love the composition and the idea. For me a simple blue shy would also work very well as blue is the complementry colour for the amber light.

Hmmm...wish I could see the original. I think the clarity of the image has definitely improved and the composition allowing the vacant area to assist the subject. The desaturation is good but the colour needs to be enhanced some.

More contrast would have helped here. I also think that since this is a very common object it has to be photographed in a way that makes it looks interesting and even unfamiliar. You did not achieve that.
