| I have tried lightning photography here in AZ, I know what you mean when it hits close, and all the way to the ground! But the risk paid off, this is an AMAZING shot! |

What a tremendously gorgeous photo this is. I love the purple and the detailed branching visible on all the bolts.

| I understand that being in a car in a lightning storm is the safest place to be. Your tyres insulate you from the possibility of current passing through and earthing out of your body. But then again, it does look very much like a heck of a storm. I would have been concerned about blowing the circuits in the camera. |
